This Thanksgiving, use your green bin to keep organic food waste in its place—and out of the landfill. Place these common Thanksgiving items in your green bin:

• All food scraps, including meat, turkey bones, eggs, bread, baked goods, cheese, potato peels, and vegetable trimmings.
• Toothpicks, cocktail napkins, and paper towels.
• Pumpkins, squash, and gourds.
