Firefighters from the Folsom Fire Department responded to reports of a garage fire in a residential home located on Montrose Drive in Folsom. While units were enroute, Folsom Police officers on scene confirmed that there was a working fire. Firefighters arrived at the dispatch address to find a working fire in a garage attached to a residential duplex. The crews quickly attacked the fire with hose streams while simultaneously checking the primary fire unit and the exposure fire unit for victims. A search for victims was completed in both units and the fire was extinguished within 7 minutes. The fire was limited to the garage and did not spread to the living spaces. Salvage and overhaul operations were conducted to save personal property. A total of 6 people were displaced. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Folsom Fire Department Investigation Unit.  No injuries were reported.
