Firefighters from the Folsom Fire Department, with assistance from Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, responded to a structure fire in a residential home located on Morton Way in Folsom.

Firefighters arrived to find light smoke coming from the garage of a large two story home. Fire crews searched the living space and aggressively attacked the garage fire. Fire personnel extinguished the fire within 10 minutes of the first arriving fire engine. The fire was contained to the garage. The residents were able to re-occupy the home. The cause of the fire is suspected to be an electrical malfunction.
