Steven Wang joined the City of Folsom in 2008 and has been city attorney since 2016. Prior to coming to Folsom, Steven served as deputy city attorney and special counsel to municipalities, special districts, and public agencies in the Lake Tahoe and Central California regions.

Steven holds a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from the University of Nevada, Reno, and obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento. He is admitted to practice law in state and federal courts in California, as well as the United States Supreme Court.

Outside his civilian employment, Steven is a soldier in the U.S. Army Reserve. He was mobilized to the Pentagon from 2007-2008, and deployed with the First Cavalry Division to Afghanistan from 2011-2012.
