Marcus Yasutake joined the City of Folsom in 2006 as associate civil engineer and was promoted to senior engineer. He came to Folsom from the El Dorado Irrigation District, where he served as associate civil engineer in both the Drinking Water Division and the Customer and Development Services Department.

Marcus holds a Bachelor of Science in bioresource and agricultural engineering and a Master of Science in water engineering from California Polytechnic State University. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

He is a licensed professional engineer as well as a member of both the American Water Works Association and the Water Environment Federation.

Marcus lives in Folsom with his wife, Lyset, and their three children.
