Building Permit Status

The status of a Building Permit can be checked via the eTRAKiT website.  Go to My Dashboard and look at the status under Active Permits.  If the permit application is under My Open Permit Applications, the application has not been completed yet. The statuses available will be as follows:

SUBMITTED: Your application has been successfully submitted and is awaiting review by intake staff.

IN REVIEW: Your application is currently being reviewed by intake staff.

INCOMPLETE: Your application is missing some information.  Click on the Permit Number in eTRAKiT and click on Reviews to see additional information.

INITIAL FEES DUE: Prior to commencing plan review, plan check fees are due.  Click on the red fees to the right of the status to pay fees online.

PROJECTDOX: Your permit application is currently in our plan review system, ProjectDox.  Log in to ProjectDox to view the status of the plan reviews.

APPROVED: Your permit application and documents have been approved and fees are due.  Click on the red fees to the right of the status to pay fees online.

PAID:  Fees have been Paid on the Permit and is awaiting review prior to being issued or moving to ProjectDox to commence plan review.  Visit the Plan Review page to learn more about the plan review process.

OUTSTANDING ITEMS: The permit application is approved, however we are missing additional items required prior to issuance.  Log in to ProjectDox to see what additional items are required prior to issuance.

READY TO ISSUE: The permit is paid and ready to issue, however the permit may need to be issued in conjunction with another permit.  Click on the permit number to the left of the status to check if the permit is linked to any other permits to be issued concurrently.

ISSUED: The permit has been issued and inspections can now be scheduled.  Click on the permit number to the left of the status to view the permit card and click on the Inspections Tab to schedule an inspection online

FINALED: The building permit has been finaled and is no longer open.  NOTE: Finaled permits will no longer show up as an Active Permit and are only searchable via address or permit number

EXPIRED: The Permit has Expired.  You can Request an Extension or contact the Building Division at epc@folsom.ca.us with any questions.  NOTE: Expired permits will no longer show up as an Active Permit and are only searchable via address or permit number.

CANCELLED: Your permit has been Cancelled prior to being Finaled.  Contact the Building Division at epc@folsom.ca.us with any questions. NOTE: Expired permits will no longer show up as an Active Permit and are only searchable via address or permit number.

HOLD: The Permit has been put on Hold.  Hold status indicates the permit cannot be issued and inspections cannot be scheduled. Click on the permit number to the left of the status and click on the Conditions tab to view why it is on Hold.  Contact the Building Division at epc@folsom.ca.us with any questions.
