The Folsom Senior Center will host a free resource fair from noon to 3 p.m. Friday, October 21 for seniors, caregivers, and family members. A variety of businesses and organizations will provide information about aging in place; durable medical equipment; downsizing, selling your home, and moving; fall prevention; elder law; transportation services; in-home care; and placement services. Representatives from the Folsom Senior Center, Parkinson’s Support Group, Alzheimer’s Association Dementia Caregiver Support Group, Cancer Support Group, Folsom Police Department Senior Assistance Program, Kaiser Senior Advantage, and HICAAP will be on site to share details about the variety of services available to local seniors. The resource fair is sponsored by Prairie City Landing; attendees can also take part in a free raffle for prizes provided by the onsite vendors.
