Fee Increase and Update Beginning July 1

The City of Folsom Community Development Department will be implementing fee increases affecting many projects beginning July 1, 2024.

Fee Increase July 1: Impact fees, affecting all new construction projects south of Highway 50, will be increasing on average, per the Construction Cost Index (CCI), at 2.70%. All fees that have not been paid prior to July 1 are subject to the increase. Projects north of Highway 50 will not be impacted by this increase.

Fee Restructuring August 1: Building and engineering fees will be restructured and adjusted per a Fee Study conducted in the past year to account for current costs of services. The revised Building and Engineering Fees were adopted by the Folsom City Council at the May 28, 2024 meeting. For additional information, please refer to the Fee Study.

Fee Increase September 9: Impact fees, affecting all new construction projects north of Highway 50, will be increasing per the CCI at 2.70%. Planning user fees will increase per the Consumer Price Index at 2.62%.
