The Folsom Fire Department provides Basic and Advanced Life Support pre-hospital emergency medical services (EMS) from all of our fire stations utilizing cross-trained firefighter/
paramedics. These personnel staff all fire vehicles, including the engine companies, ladder truck, paramedic ambulances, and command vehicles.

The Folsom Fire Department operates three 24-hour advanced life support (ALS) ambulances and staffs every fire engine and fire truck with a minimum of one Paramedic who is capable of ALS care.

In order to provide and maintain the best quality pre-hospital medical care, our EMS providers take part in continuous medical training and education and participate in a peer review quality assurance program. The Folsom Fire Department participates regionally as a member of the Sacramento County EMS Chiefs Committee, Medical and Operational Advisory Committees, and Hospital Council Committee.

The Training Division oversees:

  • Federal and State Mandated Training
