The Folsom Police Department has some new fresh faces helping out around town. The Folsom Police Department Cadets are college students who are pursuing careers in law enforcement.

The Folsom Police Department has some new fresh faces helping out around town. The Folsom Police Department Cadets are college students who are pursuing careers in law enforcement. Through this paid internship, the Cadets will rotate throughout various divisions of the Department to learn about law enforcement and grow their skills before they join the Police Academy.

Residents will see the Folsom Police Cadets around town. Cadets assist the:

• Traffic Division by responding to non-injury traffic collisions and parking complaints.
• Patrol Division by assisting with traffic control at major collisions or other necessary road closures.
• Animal Services with responding to at-large or dead animal calls and snake removal calls.
• Crime Prevention and Community Services divisions by assisting with vacation checks and community meetings.
