Beginning Monday, April 4, northbound and southbound Placerville Road–between Alder Creek Parkway and White Rock Road–will be temporarily closed for work on Savannah Parkway and Mangini Parkway.

The new Savannah Parkway that parallels the existing Placerville Road between Alder Creek Road and White Rock Road will be constructed as an entirely new roadway that includes a new road surface, center median area, and Class II bike lanes. The eastern section of Mangini Parkway between the current end of the road and Placerville Road will also be constructed, creating a new connection to the East portion of the Folsom Plan Area at the intersection of Savannah Parkway and Mangini Parkway.

The sections of roadway will be closed until August 2022. The city has installed message signs to alert motorists about the closure, and flaggers will direct traffic as needed. The city does not anticipate significant traffic delays. Motorists will be detoured to East Bidwell and Alder Creek Parkway.
