Folsom Fire Department responded to a 911 call for a vegetation fire. The first arriving crews reported a one acre grass fire moving at a slow rate of spread with heavy brush and difficult access. Crews performed  multiple progressive hose lays from wildland fire apparatus to stop forward progress, extinguish pallets, protect vehicles, and perform structure defense.  Due to the location, firefighters were required to use over 600 feet of hose. The fire was contained at two acres. No injuries were reported and no structures were damaged. The cause is suspected to be from fireworks and is currently under investigation.
