The Folsom Fire Department, El Dorado Hills Fire District, Sacramento Metro Fire, and the Folsom Police Department responded to a residential structure fire on Livermore Way in Folsom. Firefighters forced entry to the garage and made an aggressive attack on the fire. Fire personnel extinguished the fire within seven minutes of the first arriving fire engine. The fire was contained to the garage. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The homeowner was alerted by smoke detectors; a great reminder that properly maintained smoke alarms save lives!
