The Folsom Fire Department, in collaboration with the El Dorado Hills Fire Department, is seeking four high-school-aged applicants from the Folsom area for the 2024-25 Fire Explorer Program. This program is designed for high school students interested in pursuing a career in fire service. It allows students to engage in fire department training and public service activities alongside professional firefighters.

Applications are due Saturday, June 15. Tentative orientation dates are in July, and the program starts in mid-August. Meetings are tentatively scheduled every other Saturday and will alternate between El Dorado Hills and Folsom fire stations.
