Keep Your Pets Safe and Secure on the Fourth of July

Post Date:07/02/2024 10:12 a.m.

Get your pet ready for the Fourth of July. While the loud noises and bright flashes may bring a smile to our faces, fireworks can be very stressful for pets, often prompting them to escape in search of a calmer environment. In fact, more pets go missing on the Fourth of July than any other day!

To keep your pets safe this Fourth of July:

  • Ensure that licenses and microchips are up-to-date with current contact information.
  • Make sure pets are wearing properly fitted collars with identification tags.
  • Keep pets indoors or in a secure location during fireworks displays.
  • Before bringing pets inside, ensure they have had plenty of exercise.
  • Create a calming environment with ambient noise from a television, radio, or air conditioner.
