The City of Folsom is updating the Housing Element of the General Plan to ensure the city is meeting the housing needs of all members of the community. The plan is designed to provide the city with a coordinated and comprehensive strategy for promoting the production of safe, decent, and affordable housing.
In compliance with state law, the city is also updating the Safety and Noise Element to address climate adaptation and resilience strategies. In addition, the city proposes related updates to the Land Use and Implementation Elements.
A public meeting will be held at the regularly scheduled City Council meeting at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 24. The Council will review the update to the Housing Element, as well as related updates to the Safety and Noise Element, Implementation Element, and Land Use Element.
