The Folsom Police Department Explorer Program is currently accepting applications. Police Explorers will participate in skills competitions, assist the Police Department in various assignments, and will help with traffic control at community events, DUI checkpoints, and parades. Explorers will receive training in:
- Traffic Control
- Crime Scene Investigation
- First Aid
- Traffic and Criminal Law
- And more!
Explorers must be 14 to 20 years old, be able to commit to 16 volunteer hours per month, and pass a background check. Applications are due by January 20 and interviews will be held January 28.
