The City of Folsom is preparing a Subsequent Environmental Impact Report for the 2035 General Plan and Folsom Plan Area Specific Plan and is seeking the community’s input. The main objective is to consider amendments that would increase residential densities in three specific areas of the city.

The report will evaluate the potential environmental impacts of proposed amendments to the 2035 General Plan previously analyzed in an Environmental Impact Report. It provides updated information to ensure informed decision-making and compliance with environmental regulations.

As a first step, the city has drafted a Notice of Preparation and will host a public scoping meeting August 17 via Zoom. Community members are encouraged to attend to learn more and provide feedback on the Environmental Impact Report during the 30-day review period, which concludes August 23.
