City officials and residents noticed water seeping through the asphalt on American River Canyon Drive, just north of Oak Avenue. In collaboration with the San Juan Water District, the City of Folsom has investigated the origin of this water leakage. 

Water samples were gathered and analyzed, and groundwater was identified as the source of the water seepage. To address the ongoing water seepage, the Public Works Department is designing a system to intercept the groundwater and mitigate this issue. Construction is slated to begin in spring 2024.
