The Folsom Fire Department, with assistance from the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, responded to a structure fire at a residential home in Folsom. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke and heat in the living space of the single-story home. Vertical ventilation helped fire personnel contain the fire within 20 minutes of dispatch. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
