Purpose

Per Section 10.02.010 of the City of Folsom Municipal Code, the purpose of the city of Folsom Traffic Safety Committee is to provide the city council with recommendations on policy related, traffic safety issues based on sound technical and practical criteria and to act as a sounding board for citizens’ concerns.

Traffic Safety Committee News

Traffic Safety Discussion Regarding the Pique Exit onto Iron Point Road

The Traffic Safety Committee is scheduled to discuss the ingress and egress of the Pique exit onto Iron Point Road at the July 28^th 2022 meeting. City of Folsom Staff has received complaints regarding of cars making left turns out of the lower Pique exit to Westbound Iron Point road, as well as cars making U-Turns from the left most lane from Eastbound Iron Point to Westbound Iron Point at the top of the hill near the upper Pique exit. The Traffic Safety Committee will discuss if specific actions need to be taken to address these complaints.
